Should I make an appointment?
We highly recommend making an appointment by signing up online. You can also call us at 270-723-3587. You should arrive at your scheduled time because arriving early only prolongs your stay. Walk-ins are welcome, but those with appointments will be given priority.
Are there age or weight restrictions to skydiving?
Yes. All skydivers must be at least 18 years old. The waiver surrenders specific legal rights and as a result cannot be signed by someone else on your behalf, not even a parent or guardian. If you are over 50 years of age, we request a medical statement from your doctor attesting to your fitness to participate in skydiving activities.
We have a weight limit of 230 lbs for tandems, which we strictly enforce. We have scales at the registration counter and we use them. We also assess your individual ability to participate in skydiving.
What if I weigh more than 230 pounds?
You cannot jump if you weigh more than 230 pounds
What should I bring with me to skydive?
All participants should bring a form of identification (driver’s license is preferred) and a form of payment.
What should I wear to skydive?
You should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the season. For warmer days, shorts and t-shirts will work. For colder days, consider long pants, a long sleeve shirt and possibly leather gloves. Shoes that lace up are best for jumps (e.g. tennis shoes). We have jumpsuits and goggles available for you.
Do you offer discounts?
Is it possible to watch someone jump?
Yes. Family and friends are welcome to watch jumps from a designated area for their safety. Those interested in jumping for the first time are also welcome to come watch others jump to see the experience for themselves.
What if the weather is bad on the day of my scheduled jump?
If the weather seems bad on the day of your scheduled jump, please wait to call right before you begin your drive to the airport for your appointment. Our staff will make the final decision if it is appropriate to issue a rain check and/or reschedule your jump(s) for another time due to weather or other circumstances beyond the control of Skydive Kentucky. If you do not come to the skydiving center and we jump that day you will forfeit your deposit for each person in your group who did not come out to make their jump. We also ask that you do not rely on extended weather forecasts as they are subject to change.
How high will the airplane be when I jump?
Tandem Skydive – 10,000 feet
Static Line Skydive – 3,200 feet minimum
Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) – 12,000 feet
Can I take my camera along for the jump?
Sorry, but no. However, we do offer video and photographs that you can purchase after your jump.
After my first jump, what’s next?
Come jump again! We would love for you to skydive again or pursue your USPA license. Find out more about that on our SERVICES page. You can also purchase Gift Certificates for others to enjoy Skydive Kentucky. Whether you have jumped once or 7,000 times, skydiving is always a thrill.
